What a wedding this was. Gem + Matt put so much hard work and effort into their wedding, we were blown away by their attention to detail and organisation from the start. Despite the weather at the start of the day, the 9 bridesmaids created such a special atmosphere for Gem at her bride prep, with her childhood home a hive of activity. At Southend Barns, Matt’s 9 groomsmen made sure he was ready on time and the ceremony got under way inside rather than outside, an advantage of Southend Barns having multiple options for their Ceremonies!
Afterwards there were cocktails, canapes, a Steel Drummer as well as a live artist painting the view he had over the lawn as guests made their way out from under the iconic three tents.
We filmed the guests helping themselves to their BBQ buffet wedding breakfast before some lovely heartfelt speeches. Gem + Mat had an incredible golden hour, after a day of mixed weather it meant we had some dramatic clouds which always help make a golden hour even better. After a champagne tower and awesome dancefloor helped by the incredible 4 piece girlband ‘Elite’, the day ended on a surprise fireworks display for all their guests. Gem + Matt you smashed it!
Weddings with so much going on like this certainly keep us on our toes, but also make our job easier in terms of capturing content as there’s just so much going on!
