It was a privilege to be a part of Laura + Luke’s day as they celebrated their marriage in a totally unique way! Merging German and English cultures meant a day of interesting traditions and crossovers we’d not usually film. One stand out tradition being the bride and groom log cutting or “Baumstamm sägen” where the couple work together to saw a log after the ceremony.
Once this had been well and truly accomplished the Laura, Luke and their guests made their way to the spectacular Knepp Estate, known for its wildlife and breathtaking nature. In amongst this was a beautiful ‘teepee’ style marquee surrounded by hay bales, decorations and tents for camping guests.
There was traditional Pimms on offer as well as German beers for all the guests to drink as well as delicious canapes. After the wedding breakfast, the couple had organised a flash mob style yoga lesson for everyone – which made for some fantastic footage. Once we had filmed this we went across the pond with Laura + Luke to recreate a shot they had seen before, and giving it their own spin!
After this it was back under the tent for the evening entertainment, which consisted of a fantastic band that all the guests absolutely loved. We stayed to film the sparklers walk at the end and with the marquee all lit up it would have been rude not to film an end shot on the drone.
